We don’t use chlorine bleach or add any perfumes to Lil-Lets products, which means you can be reassured they do not contain any harmful chemicals or ingredients.
Safety of our products is extremely important and therefore we ensure Lil-Lets products and materials are tested in depth using laboratory test methods (so called in-vitro, which means in glass) or on willing human volunteers. The materials used in our products have been extensively tested over time so they’re perfectly safe.
A common myth about mainstream period products is that they are not regulated! Its not true, all period products are regulated under the UK General Product Safety Regulations (2005) and are manufactured under tight quality control and strict hygienic conditions.
On top of meeting these regulations, our Lil-lets tampons also adhere to the UK Voluntary Code of Practice for Tampon Manufacturers and Distributors, which was originally developed in conjunction with the Department of Health and the Department of Trade and Industry (now BEIS). Lil-Lets tampons meet the absorbency classification standards, include clear instructions on pack, as well as a warning and information about Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS)
