Your safety and well-being are extremely important to us, and we're committed to providing you with high-quality and safe products.
We don’t use chlorine bleach or add any perfumes to Lil-Lets products, which means you can be reassured they do not contain any harmful chemicals or ingredients.
Safety of our products is extremely important and therefore we ensure Lil-Lets products and materials are tested in depth using laboratory test methods (so called in-vitro, which means in glass) or on willing human volunteers. The materials used in our products have been extensively tested over time so they’re perfectly safe.
At Lil-Lets we welcome any research that helps further advance the safety of menstrual products. Lil-Lets products and raw materials, meet regulatory requirements that are tested for trace chemicals and metals to globally recognised standards (such as GOTS, Oeko Tex, etc).
Heavy metals and trace chemicals are not added to our products in the manufacturing process, and we know the words “chemical” and “metals” can seem scary but it's important to note that they are present everywhere in our environment, even in food, water and air.
A common myth about mainstream period products is that they are not regulated! It's not true, all period products are regulated under the UK General Product Safety Regulations (2005) and are manufactured under tight quality control and strict hygienic conditions.
On top of meeting these regulations, our Lil-lets tampons also adhere to the UK Voluntary Code of Practice for Tampon Manufacturers and Distributors, which was originally developed in conjunction with the Department of Health and the Department of Trade and Industry (now BEIS) to standardise the absorbency classifications, give guidelines on how to provide instructions for use and the communication of the risk and symptoms of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS).
