They are frequently viewed as the age group who will have the biggest impact on reducing waste in the future, and we know this translates into their choice of period care products too, as they actively want to connect and engage with sustainable goods in their daily lives.
Over the past couple of years Lil-Lets have been focused on creating reusable, organic and reduced plastic period care products for our core range, and now we are focusing on sustainable product development for those new to periods and for the first few years after too!
We know it can be a daunting time for young people as they go through puberty and try to understand the changes that are happening to their bodies, and for some the start of their menstrual cycle.
Younger consumers learn in school about climate change and sustainability and are often keen to make small changes to the products they use every day to help reduce waste. But at this time and during puberty they also want to be reassured that products they use will work for them and not leave them feeling embarrassed.
Knowing young people are looking for products designed with their needs in mind that are effective, trustworthy and sustainable, without compromising the world in which they live, has meant we’ve been busy working on a NEW more planet friendly product, introducing our Teens Eco Pads!
Pads are the products nearly all girls first use when they start their periods and just like our existing teens pad range, our new eco period pad is designed to be smaller and narrower, making them perfect for younger bodies and underwear sizes.
For girls who want to be more eco-friendly our Lil-Lets teens Eco, petite day pads with wings are made with bamboo and other sustainable plant-based materials.
The super soft top cover is made from sustainably sourced bamboo, which is breathable and kind to skin and each pad is individually wrapped in a biodegradable and compostable wrapper, helping young people have a more planet friendly period*
Bamboo is an amazing plant with a multitude of sustainable benefits.
What’s more there are no fragrance, dyes or chlorine bleach and our pads are vegan and ethically sourced.
